Adolescents and Young Adults
Adolescence and young adulthood are times of tremendous change and adjustment. These periods of time can be especially difficult when there is family conflict, difficulties with educational performance, and problems with peers. For some teenagers and young adults symptoms of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, eating disorder, and alcohol and substance abuse may appear or intensify during these transitional times, compounding the stress.

The Bethesda Group offers therapy services for adolescents and young adults with an emphasis on family education and inclusion in the process. For some young people, therapy may involve acquiring and practicing new skills in order to gain a sense of control over themselves and their environment. For others, therapy can serve as an anchor during turbulent times.

We offer other services which may be helpful for adolescents and young adults including group and family therapy, as well as parenting consultation.
